Over the last several weeks, LEAD Charter students have been engaged in the democratic process as they decided who will represent them in the inaugural LEAD Youth Policy Council (YPC). The YPC is a coalition of eight elected leaders on campus who share responsibilities in improving student life, community advocacy, staff appointments and much more.

After a few weeks of campaigning, the final candidates participated in the Big Drip Debates before students made their final selections. During the debates, the candidates discussed student attendance, sobriety and how they would improve the LEAD community. After the holiday break, the elected council will be announced to the LEAD community. Stay tuned for more updates.
